Main responsibilities:

• Development and Maintenance:
  • Design, develop and maintain O Elvas SAD’s WordPress website, ensuring an intuitive user interface and search engine optimisation (SEO).
  • Integrate advanced functionalities such as e-commerce, contact forms, event management and integrations with other systems (e.g. CRM, social media).
  • Ensure website compatibility with all major browsers and mobile devices.
  • Make regular backups and updates to ensure the security and performance of the site.
  • Co-ordination with O Elvas SAD’s main CRM Zoho.

• Content Management:
  • Working with the marketing and communications team to create and update website content, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Manage the publication of news, articles, photos and videos related to team activities.
  • Providing support to internal users for content management.
  • Collaborate with the external Media team.

• SEO optimisation:
  • Conduct SEO analysis to identify relevant keywords and optimise the website to improve visibility in search engines.
  • Monitor website performance and implement strategies to increase organic traffic.

• Analysis and Reporting:
  • Use web analysis tools to monitor website performance and generate detailed reports.
  • Identify areas for improvement and propose solutions to optimise the user experience.

• Innovation:
  • Keeping up to date with the latest trends and technologies in the field of web development and WordPress.
  • Propose new ideas and solutions to improve the website and user experience.

Requirements:

• Technical Skills:
  • Extensive experience in developing WordPress websites using customised themes and plugins.
  • Excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP.
  • Familiarity with SEO principles and web analysis tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console).
  • Experience in the use of version control systems (Git).

• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in Portuguese and English, other languages welcome.
  • Aptitude for teamwork and ability to collaborate with different professional profiles.
  • Propensity for continuous learning and problem solving.
  • Passion for the world of sport and football in particular.
