The Elvas CAD U-19 A and B teams primarily focus on preparing young athletes for eventual inclusion in the senior team. This developmental process is crucial to ensuring the continuity and quality of the main squad, facilitating a smooth and effective transition for players from the youth ranks to the challenges of professional football. The U-19 A team, competing in the national second division, aims to earn promotion to the first division, where they can face stronger opponents and provide their athletes with an even richer experience.
Meanwhile, the U-19 B team participates in the district championship with the goal of securing promotion to the national league. This journey is essential for strengthening the club’s foundation, allowing more players to access higher-level competitions. Most of the athletes in these teams come from Elvas CAD’s youth academy, showcasing the continuous effort the club puts into its youth development. This year, the arrival of several foreign players has brought new dynamics and diversity to the teams, contributing to a competitive and culturally enriching environment.
